and energized by the Dare to Dance Assembly!
Highly interactive, this popular assembly will have everyone movin' and groovin' through time with all the favorite songs and dances from the 1950's through today's hottest moves. How about a little swing dancing, twist, disco, robot, cha-cha, hip hop and a boot scootin' boogie on your musical history tour? In one hour students will learn steps that will enhance self esteem, social skills and coordination so they can look and feel good on any dance floor!

More about the Assembly
* Christy can teach up to 400 people at a time as long as there is sufficient room to move. Participants must have at least one foot between them in order to make the assembly or event a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone. This is an active participation session so students will enjoy themselves more if good ventilation is available and water is nearby after the assembly. Please be aware that music is played throughout the assembly.
* An elevated stage is required so that instruction can be viewed by everyone. The stage must be at least adult knee high and 8' X 8'. No chairs are necessary. This assembly also has the option of using lighting effects. Outside assemblies are discouraged due to the safety of the floor, the lighting, and the weather conditions on the equipment.
* Plan on at least an hour per assembly for students to sufficiently get warmed up, learn the dances where they feel a sense of accomplishment and allow for a cool down. At the end of the assembly is a question and answer session followed with a motivating discussion on the importance of fitness and education in our lives. We recommend dividing the students in groups according to age when planning the assembly. (For example: Grades K-3 and 4-6).
* Please request either a morning or afternoon slot. We require one hour set up time and we can set up without disturbing student activities. We do offer full days at schools with a maximum of four assemblies.
* Cost for the assembly is $300 per hour (per assembly) with a 2 hour minimum and discounts for 3 or 4 assemblies. If schools are outside the Southern California area, a minimum of four days of assemblies must be booked.
* You must complete an application form. Once we receive your application form, we will contact you to confirm the date and send you a contract.
Special Events: Includes dance instruction, music, equipment, lights and props. See Entertainment page.
6th Grade Graduation Dance: This special two hour dance is one of our most popular programs. We guarantee your schools 6th graders will enjoy themselves in this unique fun-filled dance event. Students will be "transformed" to the future where they will be dancing at a high school dance and then become the next "President of the United States" dancing at their Inaugural Ball! In addition, they will learn the most popular dances and music will be played to give it that "sentimental" feeling as they leave their elementary school. Towards the end, students are allowed to come onstage one-by-one to dance their favorite dance or take a bow as they celebrate graduating from the 6th grade. These dances can include pizza and drinks, yearbook signing, photos, but always a tribute to their school! Click here for an application form.
The Dare to Dance® Assemblies and Events are extremely popular and we are sure everyone involved will enjoy themselves!
